A packed event
doesn't always mean
a profitable one.
Before you pay the vendor fee, see what the numbers actually say. Estimate your event profit, break-even orders, and the upside and downside in under two minutes.
Run the numbers.
Start with the example numbers, then replace them with your own.
Don't just chase
the crowd.
A high-traffic festival can still cost more than it brings in. EventWorth helps you compare revenue against the costs that come with each sale and the costs you pay even when nobody orders.
Estimate contribution per order.
Average sale minus food, packaging, proportional card processing, per-card transaction fees, and any organizer percentage.
Subtract fixed event costs.
Account for booth fees, labor, travel, power, permits, and other expected expenses.
Find your break-even point.
Divide fixed expenses by contribution per order, then round up to the next whole order. Repeat with your profit target added.
Good questions. Better numbers.
Is this calculator really free?
Yes. You can calculate scenarios, export a CSV, and print results without an account or subscription.
Do you store my event or financial information?
Your inputs are stored only in your own browser's local storage so they persist if you return to this page. No information is sent to our server by the calculator. Use “Reset example” to replace saved inputs, or clear your browser's site storage to remove them entirely. The hosting provider may still process standard network logs.
Does profit include sales tax, tips, or income taxes?
No. Enter average sales excluding sales tax and tips. The calculator estimates operating profit for that event before income taxes. It doesn't replace bookkeeping or professional tax advice.
What if I have a negative profit per order?
If variable costs equal or exceed the average sale price, additional orders cannot recover fixed costs under these assumptions. Increase your average ticket or reduce variable costs before relying on the event.
Are low and high scenarios forecasts?
No. They are simple sensitivity checks using 65% and 135% of your expected orders, not predictions of attendance or sales.
